January 1, 2010 (Friday) "Tour d'Orange". Officially the first car event of the year, this will be the 7th edition of the Tour d'Orange. Over 350 cars participate. Meet at 8:30 AM on Redhill Ave. between the "Auto Kennel" and Newport Shelby. The Auto Kennel is located at 3001 Redhill Ave., Bldg 6, Suite 109, Costa Mesa, CA, 92626. Newport Shelby is at the corner of Redhill Ave. and Fischer Ave. Parking lots at the Auto Kennel and Newport Shelby. Lots of street parking on Fischer Ave. Meet at 8:30 AM, maps at 8:45 AM, DEPART AT 9 AM. There is no formal notice besides this. All cars welcome. February 13, 2010 (Saturday) The Annual SDVSA Temecula Valley Wine Tour, hosted by the San Diego chapter of Volvo Sports America. Open to any and all Volvo owners and enthusiasts. Come join us for a journey via rustic winery settings while tasting the local fruits of the vine. We'll also have lunch at one of the wineries. We meet at 10:00 AM at the Mobile Gas Station, 44520 Bedford Court, Temecula, near to the east bound exit (58) from I-15 for Temecula Parkway. The group will leave at 10:30 PM. Enjoy the company of other Volvo enthusiasts and network with lots of experience that will be on hand. A map will be supplied and you may bring a lunch or buy a meal at most wineries. April 9-11, 2010 The 2010 Vintage Volvo Challenge will be held at Sears Point Raceway April 9, 10, and 11th. It is a CSRG event and will feature all production models racing against each other prior to 1972. We will also have Volvo powered Marcos and Volvo Powered specials in the field. There will be a SAAB or two in the mix so as long as it's Swedish it's welcome. All car clubs and interested attendees are invited to join in the fun. There will be car corrals for street cars and will have lots of SoCal racers to cheer for. We expect 20-25 cars to be in the field. April 10, 2010 (Saturday) Mark Jankowski's East County Tour. Open to any and all Volvo owners and enthusiasts. Hosted by the San Diego chapter of VSA. TIME: 10:00 A.M. Depart at 10:30 A.M. sharp. STARTING PLACE: Chevron Station near I-15 South of Escondido, Exit on Via Rancho Parkway and head East. It will be on the South side. Plan on arriving early if you wish to socialize. Snacks and facilities are available at the station. The tour will take us past the Wild Animal Park and through Ramona into the Barona Indian Reservation and Casino. There has been an abundance of rainfall this year resulting in a lot of spring color along these back roads. We will be meandering through parts of Lakeside and El Cajon before we reach our destination in Jamul, where we will enjoy a fine meal at Filippi's Grotto. After lunch we can explore Simpson's Nursery and Classic Auto Museum. This tour will give you an appreciation for the charming communities and rural highways that can be experienced in the eastern parts of San Diego County. www.sdvsa.org.

April 17-18, 2010 2010 Scandinavian Festival. Bring your Volvos! Location: California Lutheran University, 60 West Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks, CA. The Scandinavian Festival has been a tradition at California Lutheran University for over 30 years. Both days will be filled with music, dancing, food, lectures, demonstrations, vendors, and lots of activities for children. Scandinavian crafts offered: Danish Paper Cutting, Finish Friendship Bracelets, Icelandic Paper Volcanos, Norwegian Card Wool, and Swedish Dala Horse Puppets. May 1-2, 2010 12th Annual DAVIS VOLVO SHOW and (new) AUTOCROSS. The Golden Gate chapter of VCOA is hosting this event for the weekend of May 1 and 2. Saturday the 1st will be an Autocross event. Sunday the 2nd will be the traditional Davis Volvo Show at Davis Central Park, 3rd and C Streets, Davis, CA. Ontario Volvo is asking for participation from all Volvo enthusiasts to bring your Volvos, old or new, ugly or pretty, for a Volvo Car Display and Show 'n' Shine. They will have service technicians on-hand and will be offering a free 27-point inspection + check for codes as necessary and free car wash for all 1990 to 2002 Volvos. Each free inspection will include a complimentary car wash. Volvo will be bringing out their new XC60. Volvo Certified Safety personnel will go through Volvo Safety and Child Seat installation. The dealership will provide, food, fun and games for a family friendly event. Regardless of the year of your Volvo, bring it out and show your car.

Leaving Saturday Oct 9th, we will drive to Santa Barbara for lunch near the ocean before continuing over some beautiful scenic roads to the town of Solvang and surrounding wineries. Special guests from VCOA, Volvo North America, and the Volvo Arizona Proving Grounds will be invited to answer questions and share their knowledge of the great brand we all love… Volvo.
Sunday morning, November 7th, there will be a hosted driving tour of one of the many wonderful sights Southern Arizona has to offer.
